Taruneet has been a registered physiotherapist with more than 15 years of experience. She has worked in multi-specialty hospitals, with patients from post surgical, gynecology, orthopedic, pediatrics, sports injuries, concussion, motor vehicle accidents and workplace injuries. Orthopedic injuries interest her the most and she believes that strengthening the body is key to full functional recovery. She is currently working on updating herself in Women’s Pelvic health.
Her greatest asset is her empathy and care that she delivers to each patient. She likes to stay active, running and working out are part of her routine. She likes to spend her free time with her precious 2-year-old daughter. She also enjoys running and working out so she can be fit enough to make people embrace fitness as a part of their life.
I completed my Bachelor of Science (Honours) in Human Kinetics at the University of Guelph in 2018, followed by my Master of Science in Physiotherapy at McMaster University in 2020.
During my clinical placement, I have had an opportunity to assess and treat various orthopedic injuries with a population that includes adolescents, adults, and geriatrics. I believe in treating a patient as a whole and in an empathetic manner.
By utilizing a patient-centered and evidence-based approach to treatment that includes manual therapy, exercise, and education, I hope to optimize a patient’s wellbeing and performance. In my spare time, I like to get outside to hike, bike, and skate to maintain an active lifestyle! I also love to bake healthy – and not so healthy – treats.
